Pursuit Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Pursuit! We’re here to help you move your career forward with coaching, tools, and a supportive community. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and Pursuit (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read them carefully. By using Pursuit, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our services.
1. Using Pursuit
A. What We Offer
Pursuit provides career coaching, job search support, and AI-powered tools to help you reach your goals. You can access free and paid features, book coaching, or join as a member.
B. Who Can Use Pursuit
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your area) and able to enter into contracts.
C. Your Account
To use certain features, you’ll need to create an account and keep your info up to date. You’re responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. If you think your account’s been compromised, let us know right away.
D. Privacy
We care about your privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
E. Play Fair
Use Pursuit for its intended purpose and follow the law. Don’t:
- Post or share anything illegal, harmful, or offensive.
- Try to access accounts or systems you shouldn’t.
- Disrupt or harm the Service or other users.
- Pretend to be someone else.
- Use Pursuit for fraud or malicious activity.
F. Ending Your Account
You can close your account anytime. We may suspend or end your account if you break these Terms or for other reasons. If your account ends, your right to use Pursuit stops immediately. We’ll only keep your data as required by law or for legitimate business reasons (see our Privacy Policy).
G. Feedback
We love hearing from you! If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without compensation.
2. Your Content & Data
A. You Own Your Content
You own what you create or upload (“Your Content”). By using Pursuit, you give us permission to use Your Content to operate and improve our services. We won’t use Your Content for advertising or to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.
B. How We Use AI
Pursuit uses AI-powered tools (including automations and agents) to make your experience better. We use secure vendors (like ClickUp and Front) that do not train their models on your data. Pursuit may use anonymized and aggregated data to improve our own AI models and services. If you want your data excluded from AI training, contact us at support@trypursuit.com.
C. Your Responsibilities
Make sure Your Content doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights and that you have permission to share it. We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law.
D. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar tech to improve your experience and analyze usage. See our Privacy Policy for details.
E. Children’s Privacy
Pursuit isn’t for people under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from people under 16. If you think we have, contact us and we’ll delete it.
F. Copyright & DMCA
If you believe something on Pursuit infringes your copyright, email support@trypursuit.com with:
- A description of the work and where it appears on our site
- Your contact info
- A statement of good faith and your authority
Your signature
- If you receive a takedown notice and believe it’s a mistake, you can send us a counter-notification.
3. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds
A. Fees
We use Stripe for payments. You agree to pay all fees, taxes, and charges for paid services.
B. Subscriptions & Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the next billing cycle. You can cancel anytime in your account settings.
C. Refunds
We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not happy, contact us within 30 days for a refund. Refunds go to your original payment method. For bundles or partially used services, see our Refund Policy.
D. Changes to Fees
We may change our fees, but we’ll give you at least 14 days’ notice.
4. Intellectual Property
A. Our Stuff
All rights in Pursuit, including content, branding, software, and materials, belong to us or our licensors. Don’t copy, reproduce, or reverse engineer our stuff.
B. Your License
We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pursuit for your personal, non-commercial use. We can revoke this license at any time.
C. Trademarks
Pursuit’s name, logo, and branding are ours. Don’t use them without our written permission.
5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
A. No Guarantees
Pursuit is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t guarantee job placement or specific results. We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
B. Limiting Our Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Pursuit isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or special damages. Our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the past 12 months, per claim. We don’t exclude liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct where not allowed by law.
6. Indemnification
You agree to protect Pursuit and our team from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of Pursuit, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
7. Dispute Resolution
A. Let’s Talk First
If you have a dispute, contact us first. We’ll try to resolve it informally.
B. Arbitration & Opt-Out
If we can’t resolve it, disputes will be settled by binding arbitration in New York, NY, under AAA rules. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms by emailing support@trypursuit.com with “Arbitration Opt-Out” in the subject. No class actions. Each side pays its own costs unless the arbitrator decides otherwise.
C. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Delaware law.
8. Service Availability
We work hard to keep Pursuit running, but we can’t guarantee it will always be available. Sometimes things break or need maintenance. We’re not responsible for outages or data loss, but we’ll always try to help.
9. Third-Party Services
Pursuit may link to or use third-party services (like Stripe, ClickUp, Front). We’re not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies.
10. Accessibility
We’re committed to making Pursuit accessible. If you need help or accommodations, email support@trypursuit.com.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. We’ll give you at least 14 days’ notice for material changes, by email or on our website. If you keep using Pursuit after changes, you accept the new Terms.
12. Assignment
You can’t transfer these Terms to anyone else without our written consent. If we assign these Terms (like in an acquisition), we’ll notify you.
13. Severability
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms are the whole agreement between you and Pursuit about your use of our services.
